A.1 Composition and structure of habitat type 9590*

This action aims to the determination and description of the population composition and structure of the targeted habitat type 9590*. The knowledge on the habitat composition and structure is useful for understanding the main ecological processes of Cedrus brevifolia woodland community, ensuring the viability of habitat 9590* and its regeneration ability.

A.2 Elaboration of a fire protection plan for the habitat type 9590*

The elaboration of a fire protection plan for the target habitat is the goal of the present action. The negative consequences from a stochastic wild-fire event could lead to a direct threat on the habitat 9590* viability, destroying a part or the whole area of the habitat. This action, which will be implemented within the boundaries of the Natura 2000 site "Koilada Kedron - Kampos", has as a major aim to propose specific measures for the protection of the target habitat against forest fire.

A.3 Assessment of health and vitality of habitat type 9590*

The determination of the impact of biotic parameters negatively affecting the viability of habitat 9590* is important for developing rationalistic measures for its management. This will provide the basic requirements for implementing appropriate tools for both preventive and effective habitat protection against undesirable pest outbreaks, as well as how these may vary in space. The outcome of this action will be the determination of the best practices for the protection of the target habitat from undesirable biotic factors.

A.4 Assessment of the impact of specific concrete conservation activities

This action aims to assess the impact of specific interventions and/or activities, such as some of the infrastructure that will be created under the project's framework (i.e. water tanks and fire break for fire protection). Furthermore, through this action the grazing capacity and the stocking rate in the area along the southern edge of the targeted Natura 2000 site "Koilada Kedrosn - Kmapos" will be evaluated.

A.5 Preparation of Action Plan for the implementation of conservation actions

This action includes an overview of all preparatory actions that will be developed into a detailed, integrated Action Plan (comprising of the exact locations, technical specifications and descriptions of the guides for the concrete conservation actions needed to be implemented for the sound management of the targeted habitat type).
